In episode 37 of TMF podcast I am joined by Chris Johnson of zerenpt.com and founder of Run Cadence. Chris is also world class when comes to the shoulder.
Neither he nor I like the term 'scapular instability' as it implies the scapula rides off the rib cage and can't get back to its resting position. That doesn't happen. So trying to describe a shoulder blade that wings as being unstable and then trying to build stability is essentially misusing the term by definition.
Instead, building ROBUSTNESS around the shoulder blade is a better term for many reasons.
