Typically in the gym, rotation movements are neglected and we only move in certain, fixed paths with locked endings.

Rotational work is typically done with these locked endpoints that never transition to another position. The drill and positions that Marlo shows in this video are great for working through rotation, understanding how to transition your body fluidly, and move rotational motion from one joint to another.
